We're thrilled to share some exciting news! Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to acquire not one, but two sculptures by the recently deceased, great Belgian sculptor Pol Spilliaert. And it wasn't just any acquisition, this adventure took us to Spilliaert's very own residence, an absolutely breathtaking modernist house surrounded by serene greenery. As we approached the house, we couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The building itself was a work of art—clean lines, beautiful details and that unmistakable mid-century touch. 

The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, yet filled with the creative energy that must have flowed there when Spilliaert was at work. Both pieces are remarkable and we're beyond excited to have them as part of our collection at Maison Moderniste. As fans of Spilliaert's work, it feels like such a privilege to now share these works with you.
